Asia Military 08

September 22- 30, we made our second trip of the year to Okinawa Japan. On this occasion, we had the privilege of ministering for Asia Military Ministries, Missionaries Rufus and Pam Parker. While also reaching to the Okinawan and Japanese people, the main focus of this ministry is military personnel and their families. Bro. Parker himself is a retired Sgt. Major, spending the last few years of active duty on Okinawa.

Asia Military Ministries has a long history of kingdom involvement. Over 60 ministers have been the fruit of the laborers here. With military personnel constantly being restationed, this has resulted in AMM becoming a training, equipping and sending church.

The focus of our teaching was the impartation of apostolic authority. We dealt with the identifying of strongholds and the necessity of a renewed mind to receive the things of the Spirit. Then we defined what apostolic authority was and that each believer has an arena to operate in. Each service was mightily visited by the Lord.

A wonderful testimony to the simplicity and power of God is demonstrated in the healing of one of the Okinawan Sisters. On Wednesday night at the end of service, she limped up to us and asked prayer for her hip degeneration pain. We spoke the word of authority and healing and she left. The rest of the week I observed her walking without a limp. Sunday I finally asked her about the hip and she replied “Oh, I meant to tell you, after you prayed it was gone and has not come back!” God has truly empowered us to demonstrate His kingdom, all we need is understanding and a simple faith to act upon it.

The slide show below contains a few random pictures of our time in Okinawa. While this was my third trip to Okinawa, it was my wife’s firs trip to Japan, so we spent a few days just as tourists. The Parker’s were wonderful hosts and treated us like royalty.
