Nov 11 – 27 Pakistan Missions Trip
This trip will be a busy and exciting one. Our itinerary includes in three district conferences, local churches and a small crusade style meeting. The focus of the ministry for the conference will be to impart the principles of apostolic authority to the local leadership, allowing them insight to demonstrate our King and his kingdom.
In local churches we will focus on imparting faith and encouraging them to also demonstrate the Kingdom. The crusade is obvious. Our schedule is below:
- November 15 local church Islamabad/Rawalpindi area
- November 16 & 17 Conference in Rawalpindi
- Nov 19 & 20 Conference in Lahore
- Nov 22 local church
- Nov 23 & 24 Conference
- Nov 24 & 25 crusade
I covet your prayers. I also plan to update this page as time and internet connections allow.

In Abu Dhabi waiting for connecting flight to Islamabad. Flight from Chicago was not one of my better ones. First: 13.5 hours non-stop. Second, I was in the screaming kids section. I asked if an emergency row seat was available and the ticket personnel said this one had more leg room. Well it did; because that was where they attached the baby bassinets to the bulkhead. There had to be over 10 kids on this flight. As bad as it was for us non-childbearing people, I really feel for the mothers. They really deserve a medal for their patience.

Thanks for everyone who is praying and checking our page. Schedule has changed some: they have combined two of the conferences. The on we were going to have here in Islamabad has been moved to the one in Lahore.
This morning I will be ministering in a local church.
Have done a little shopping, buying the gifts stuff.
Hopefully will be able to post more this afternoon/evening after service.
Rawalpindi Service
This morning we ministered in a church in Rawalpindi, sister city to Islamabad. The video below is from their worship service.
It is so humbling when we allow God to use us to make a difference in the lives of people. The message I sensed to preach during this service was not one that I had originally planed. Much of the ministry the Lord uses us for is the empowerment of the body to demonstrate the kingdom.
My message title was “Show Me Your Ways.” Based on Psalm 103:7 “He made known his wasy to Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.” Israel saw the miraculous acts of God, but did not have a relationship with Him. Moses asked to know God’s ways and for a relationship; he was granted this and God said He would do awesome things thru Moses. In essence, because Moses desired God first, he also received the miraculous.
Later, I was told that this church has seen many miracles of healing and deliverance: they know how to seek God for those. The leadership recognized that God was using me to refocus them back on the Lord and not the miraculous! Get Him and they would have all that He is!
These pictures were taken during service and the streets around the church.

Tonight is the first meeting of the conference here in Lahore. The focus is the training of the leaders of the local churches. Many of these leaders shepherd 5 or more congregations. My focus tonight will be: “What is Apostolic.” & “The Transformed Mind.”
Service tonight started tough. There was spiritual opposition to what was being ministered. Finally God broke thru and the ministers responded with intense praise and worship.
Below is a video clip of the minsters during worship service.

This video clip is the ministers praying for each other once God broke through. The message was “A transformed mind.”

Morning sessions today. Topics will be: “Your Metron” & “How To Operate In Apostolic Authority.” Expecting much to happen in Spirit today.
This morning’s session was visited by a powerful ministry of the Spirit. Just before I was to speak, I sensed a “surge” of the Spirit. When I began, I encouraged the men to pray and seek the Lord. There was about 20 minutes of intense prayer in which the Spirit was praying thru us to the situation.
We then ministered on :”Our Metron.” Each of us has a specific “bounded” area of authority or manner in which our gifting is to operate. It is in this metron that we will find God’s power demonstrated thru us. One pastor who is in the main area of conflict here, came thanking me for the word of understanding. God revealed to him why he was in this area and it was his place of authority. By the way, he has been having great revival, even prior to this word.

Ministry of Offenses
This mornings message challenged the culture and them mindset of the men here in Pakistan. My topic was: “The Ministry of Offenses.” The basic idea is that God uses the times we are offended or hurt to bring to the surface the impurities in our hearts. One of the meanings of the greek word translated for offence is the bait that is placed on the trigger of a trap. If you grab the bait, you have been caught in the trap. I used an illustration of how in one coutnry they hunt monkeys by placing a banana in a cage that has an opening just large enough for the monkey to get their hand in. Once the monkey reaches in to grab the banana he then tries to pull their hand out and find they are stuck. The monkey will try all manners of way to escape – except letting go of the banana.
Offenses are like that – they are the bait that is set before us. I am hurt by someone and I grab on to that. I continue to talk about it, ruminate on it and not let go. Eventually, bitterness and anger develops and my relationships suffer. It even comes to the place that my ability to hear the voice of God is hindered.
I so appreciated the Lord’s presence and His anointing as He ministered to these faithful leaders.

Tonight was truly the “experience” of a lifetime. We traveled to a local church for service. Traveled is a polite word, we fought our way thru a mass of humanity, vehicles and animals. Cars, buses, trucks, bikes, rickshaws, donkey pulled carts, hand pushed carts, goats and much more stirred up the dust that filled the air choking out the headlights. I cannot tell how many times I thought we were going to hit someone or they were going to hit us. The short 20 minuted distance we traveled on the way home, took us an hour and 15 minutes to get there. Gotta love missions!
Ministering at this local church had another first for me, I was preaching from the roof top! The church is a curtained structure on top of the pastors home. There was probably about a 100 people on that roof. It is exciting to see, this church is only 2 years old; God is mightily using this young pastor to reach his city!
Below are some pictures from our roof top ministry in Teresa Town, Pakistan.
Lahore Traffic
I have never seen traffic like this before. You never know what you will run into – literally!

This morning will be ministering in another local church connected with a bible school. Planning to minster; “Becoming A Son of God.” Looking forward to seeing what God will do.

This morning was a great time in church, there was such freedom of the Spirit presence. Below is a video clip of the worship. They sang with such forcefulness.
Here is a very unique instrument, the harmonium. Kinda like a table top accordion.
Tomorrow morning we will be flying to Karachi for another conference with local leaders. Once again, our focus will be to minister the principles of Apostolic Authority.
11.22.09 Karachi
Karachi is a much different city than Lahore. Since it is on the Arabian sea, there is a breeze that keeps the air cleaner. It is sunny and very warm right now.
The first night of the conference here was very interesting. About the time we came to the platform, the power went out. I understand this is common for here. It took some time for the back up generator to start working. So— we continued to sing in the dark to only the beat of bongo’s. The song leader was using his cell phone to illuminate the song book!
Once power was restored, we ministered two sessions on Apostolic Authority: What Is Apostolic & A Transformed Mind. At the end of this, the Lord began to minister to the leadership. They were praying for each other, speaking words of faith and a transformation of their minds. There is a short video clip of the prayer time below.
